My name is Adam David Lloyd, I am 22 years old and a Visual Arts and Design Major. I have lived in Sandy all of my life and have loved to doodle and draw ever since I can remember. My excitement was peaked when Sandy informed me as to the contents of one of our projects of the 2006 fall semester "The Golden Rule", prior to this project I had never had the chance to participate in something so profound. When we received the paper that we were to use with this piece I immediately ran through all of the different cultures interpretation of the Golden Rule. One single word rang through my mind "help", so I decided that my piece would convey the principle of helping those around us reach a mutual goal. I also wanted to go about composing my piece in a different manner, rather than drawing around the words I wanted to use them as an interactive part of the project. So I decided to draw many little men climbing up the text in whatever manner they could, each helping the one below them reach the top. It's a simple piece for a simple lesson, as my loving mother Shauna always quoted me: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
