Judith has always spent a good deal of time doodling. As a young child, her mother believed she had artistic talent and always encouraged her.
Judith led a nomadic life from birth, moving throughout the United States as the offspring of a naval flight surgeon (who later became a surgeon with the VA Medical System). The longest time she ever lived anywhere was about three years.
Judith's formal art education did not really begin until she was a young adult attending Columbia Community College in Columbia, Maryland. After that, she received personal training in oil in a friend's home in Madison, CT. Additionally, she took classes in watercolor at East High School in Salt Lake City in the Community Education program. She is a member of the Watercolor Society and paints regularly with a friend from that group who has over 20 years of experience. Judith has supplemented her art education with many watercolor and acrylic workshops in the Salt Lake area.
Judith had a one-person show at Finn's Restaurant. Although she does not enter many juried shows, her work was displayed in a recent Spring (watercolor) show and has exhibited at the Michael Berry Gallery .
The art work for the Golden Rule Project was donated to All Saints Episcopal Church, Salt Lake City, where Judith is extremely active in many venues.
